Joining GALA is the first step. Our regular newsletters will keep you informed, and you may be able to channel the evidence to groups you belong to.

Help with our funds is greatly valued. We ask people to give what they can. This next year, we may need the fare for an overseas University expert to visit, to present evidence to the Select Committee. We cannot hope to match the huge budget the liquor industry will have to fly lobbyists here. We are a tiny David facing a huge Goliath, as were the first tobacco publicists.

The alcohol mopping-up bodies receive large Government grants, but we receive none, and are complete volunteers, a number having long experience as doctors. Our unfunded organization has achieved much politically by our petition, signed by over 3000 people, which led to a Parliamentary Review, and later encoiuraged the Law Commission Review.

Please join GALA, give what you can in money or services, display our bumper sticker, tell your friends, and most importantly lobby your MP yourself and through any organisations to which you belong.
